  • 1.  Host currently has no management network redundancy

I probably went about this the wrong way initially, but my configuration has 3 host servers, each with the service console port on the same switch (vSwitch0) as the Virtual Machine Port Group. When I had everything up and running on all three hosts, I created a cluster and put all three hosts into the cluster. Now I receive errors on all three hosts under "Configuration Issues". The specific error is:

"Host xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx currently has no management network redundancy"

I tried adding a 2nd physical adapter (vmnic1) to vSwitch0, but I still had the error. I tried adding a second virtual switch with a second service console port and two physical adapters, but that too did nothing to resolve the issue. I tried to move the first Service Console Port (vswif0) to the second virtual switch, but could not because I get an error saying that interface vswif0 is in use.

I'm trying to configure this site for DRS and HA, and obviously went about it the wrong way. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Add a second pNIC to vSwitch0 and then reinstall HA agent (right click on ESX icon) on each host.

after adding the NIC disable and enable HA or click on the host and select "reconfigure for HA".
