Hide datastore

I want use one datastore only for one VM, how could I hide this datastore for the other VMs?

I dont wont that our VMware Admins see this datastore,when they for example converting a VM.....(So I want hide the datastore from the admins view)

I don't see any option for a normal VMFS.

What's about using a RDM as a dirty workaround?

you wont be able to do, all Datastores must bve seen be all Hosts for vMotion to work, I am making the assumption you meant Hosts not Guests being able to see the DataStore. you could use masking to only present it ot a single host, but that is as far as you could go.

that's not possible. you might want to consider using an RDM for this particular VM.

It depends on you needs...

virtual compatibility mode or physical compatibility

mode. Virtual compatibility mode virtualizes the mapped device and is

generally transparent to a guest operating system. This mode also

provides some VMFS volume advantages, such as the ability to create

snapshots. Physical compatibility mode provides minimal SCSI

virtualization of a mapped device, and the VMkernel passes almost all

SCSI commands directly to the device, which enables closer VM and LUN

integration.
