  • 1.  Getting vSphere documentation... Pre-built script?

    Posted Jan 05, 2012 11:28 AM

    Hi,

I am looking at monitoring my VMware environment in a bit more detail now, and have come across the Daily Check script on the virtu-al.net site which I would like to use daily via email. This is great for an overview of what is going on etc...

However I am in the process of upgrading virtual hardware and am having issues with the IP address being lost (Which I know from a VMware KB I can resolve) but during this I was wondering if there was another pre-built script I could use daily which would email me information about the configuration of the ESXi hosts and VM's... Such as Guest OS, RAM, IP address, number of VMDK's and details about them etc?

    Thanks

Perhaps the InventorySnapshot fling could help.

It will list your current configuration in the form of PowerCLI statements.
