    Hi

With an iscsi initiator within the guest do you need to set flow control on

the vswitch if it is set throughout the iscsi network (pNICs - switch - array) - I have a feeling the

answer is no, however I need to be 100% sure as I know this is the case for

    jumbo frames.

    Thanks

    You are correct.

Flow control is only enabled on your iSCSI switch and potentially the SAN, if not enabled already.

Flow control is required end-to-end, but must be supported by the switch to work at all in the first place.

Presumably the vSwitch supports it since the sw-iscsi initiator essentially requires it, but I'm not sure if it is offered to attached vNICs are part of the auto-negotiation phase as in the physical world.

Please award points to any useful answer.

Thanks for the help - The physical switches do support flow control.
