  • 1.  Firewall Ports for deploying ova

    Posted Jun 24, 2018 12:02 PM

    Hi,

I am trying to find out what ports need to be opened for the following scenario

Client PC Using web client on vlan1

    Vcenter 5.5 Server on vlan2

    esx server on vlan3

All Vlans have firewalls between them, all ports closed (except 80/443 from the client pc to the vcenter server)

I am trying to use the web client to deploy an ova (stored on the client pc) using Vcenter to the esx server.

Can anyone enlighten me into what ports need to be opened between each of the three clans.

    Thanks

    Brett

Can you access vSphere web client or vSphere client form that PC?

If yes, Have you tried to deploy OVA? Did you get an error?

Port 902 and 443 are required to complete this task. These ports vSphere Web Client use to communicate with ESXi.
