Hi James,

next time you're on the forum-I'd like to address a few feature requests. Is this the right place?

 

1. Option to freely select the network adapter type for a virtual machine instead of editing the .vmx file.

 

2. Option to freely select the SCSI adapter type for a virtual machine instead of editing the .vmx file.

 

3. It is well known that many functions can only be implemented by manually editing the .vmx file. I would really appreciate an editor that handles this similarly to vSphere-especially while Workstation is running.

 

4. For Windows users: Please bring back the "Mount Disk" option.

no. I haven't tried that. The required pairs of values ​​are often linked to others, so having a complete overview would be nice.

 

Workstation locks the .vmx file while it's running. That makes things cumbersome, especially when you can't close workstation because VMs are runnin.

An editor could solve this. You do the desired changes while Workstation is running and the VM is powered off.
