    Hello,

When I restart my physical server (2k3r2_sp2) hosting virtual center server, I cannot connect with my VI client.

    The service is not started.

In the event viewer, just before the information that "service virtual center server" Failed to intialize VMware VirtualCenter. Shutting down...." I have a this event :

    Failure audit on source MSSQL$SQLEXP_VIM

Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM'. [CLIENT: ]

I checked in ODBC config for the virtual center SQL Native Client and connection is make successfully.

When I start the Virtual center server service manually, I start properly.

What can I do to started this service Automaticaly ?

    Thank's

    Hi,

You can create a batch file while executing after each reboot

    net start "VMware VirtualCenter Server"

thank's for this answer but problem is just after my view composer service doesn't start also.

I prefer to fix the first error instead of "turn around".

    Thx

Probably the best idea would to create a service dependancy so that VC server will not try to start until another or more services have started. I wouldn't put the dependancy on MSSQL as even though the service can start, the DB might not be available - something like the print spooler has worked for me in the past. Then you do the same for composer, but get it to depend on the VC server service. checkout the MS KB 193888 there is loads of info available on this, this is just one example.

    Thanks,

    Neil
