With the addition of EVC allowing multiple generations of processors to work together in a cluster, has anyone done any testing to see what impact this has on VM performance? If enabling EVC lowers what is presented to the VM to the least common CPU architecture, you would think there would be some performance loss. Or is it not even measurable?

EVC is implemented in hardware on the chips, and just doesn't expose some capabilities to the VMs. Should be no performance impact unless your application uses the SIMD4.1 instructions and now cant see them, for example.
