  • 1.  ESXi6 Boot Stuck on swapobjd Start

    Hi guys , any idea what this daemon is ?

    I have Many hosts that take 6 - 8 Hours to boot , and its stuck here .

    ESXi6

    DELL M630 Blades

    FCOE storage

    Qlogic 57810 CNA .

    About 70 VMFS Datastores

    About 30 pRDMs .

    So if anybody else has this .

    I disabled swapobjd  , it appears to be vSan related , the next servicer got stuck , USB Arbitrator , then disabled that one , then vpxa got stuck , so clearly , this is not the real cause .

    Ended up it was a misplaced core dump location , fixed that ,reserved SCSI IDs for pRDMs  and host is booting in like 5 mins now .
