  • 1.  Esxi to SAN storage connectivity failure

    Hello,

    We are running ESXi 6.5 and HP MSA 2040 storage with FC connectivity. We are facing storage connectivity issue 2 months once from any one of the ESXi host. but in that time from other ESXI host storage is connecting without any issue.

    While analyzing vmware kernel log, we got below messages frequently and once reboot the ESXI host its connecting to storage server without any issue

    Its happening while Esxi auto update? if anything problem in Storage level after reboot ESXi host also shouldn't work.

    Please help us to resolve this issue

    Could you please share Vmkernal.log and confirm esxi host build version .

    We are running MSA 2042 firmware "GL220P009" , If its storage firmware version all other ESXi hosts also create problem at same time right? but its happened any one of the totally connected 6 ESXI host

    Please find attached kernel log and we are running Esxi 6.5.0 (Build 5310538)

    Can you check the san switch for errors ? I've seen really wierd stuff happen with defective SFPs. (on brocade: porterrshow)

    FYI there is a GL220P010 firmware version which is supposed to fix something 'critical' (but probably not related to this problem)

    What is the firmware version you're running on your 2040?
