Hello:
What is (if any) the best way to monitor hardware components on standalone ESXi host?
Thanks
maybe the below document will help?
http://communities.vmware.com/docs/DOC-11641
also, check out http://www.it-book.co.uk/794/monitoring-standalone-esxesxi-server-hardware-with-the-vma
Major server vendors offer CIM providers for their hardware and also monitoring tools. For example HP offers a so called Offline bundle with the CIM providers for the different versions of ESXi and HP-SIM (a Windows application) as a monitoring tool.

Veeam monitor can monitor some hardware but it will depend on what hardware is visible from the vSphere Client Configuration Tab / Hardware

Here's another option by me: http://blog.peacon.co.uk/hardware-health-alerting-with-esxi/
The script option is really good, but I want to get alert notification in real time, but not at specific time or in some interval.
Is it possible?
Thanks a lot!
Just schedule the script to be run periodically, every hour or even every 15 minutes if necessary.
