ESXI And Symantec Backup Exec

Hi

I am currently experimenting with ESXI 5. I use backup exec to backup my servers and i am trying to open a converted backup by backup exec. I can see the backup of the server saved on my esxi server and it has created .vmdk files, But i am unsure how to open these and run them in esxi. Can anyone help?

Does the VM appear in the vSphere client or vCenter? You should be able to ‘Power On’ the VM from here.  Have you seen this blog? Physical to Virtual Conversion using Backup Exec 2012 - Spiceworks
