  • 1.  ESXi 5 Hard Drives Issue

    Hello all,

    Sorry for the stupid question but I am not sure what I am doing wrong.  I have a server with 2 500GB SATA SSD drives.  The hard drive controller is set to AHCI and in BIOS I see 2 hard drives.  But when I boot into ESXi, it only sees one of the hard drive and I can't figure out how to add the second drive.  I am using the free stand-alone version of ESXi for testing.  Any suggestions?

    Using the vSphere client, when looking at the  configuration of the host do you see the drive available when adding a new vmfs datastore?

    No.  It only sees the 1 hard drive.
