  • 1.  Esx not able to connect

    Hi all

    i have 2 esx host both werr working fine before restarting one . Now that host is not able to comuunication with others . Means i am not able to ping that esx host & it was working fine before resart . I have check the network conecetion it is fine connectet as Bridge .

    So can u help me to sort out the problem

    A list of preliminary troubleshooting steps before proceeding further.

    1. Can you list out esxcfg-nics in the console of the disconnected host and find that the assigned nic is "UP"

    2. Can you make sure that the Management network switch [vSwitch0 mostly] is having the vmnic which is having the uplink.

    I have check the network conecetion it is fine connectet as Bridge .

    Are you testing out ESX in a VM?

    yes i am testing  this ESX on VM

    i have check My nic card is up & vswitch is also up & vmnic0 is showing in vswitch0 as up

    Can you confirm if the vswitch is set to promiscous mode? Also, if you are using Windows 2008+ as a VM, you need to enable the firewall to allow ICMPs
