Error While connecting to VMWare ESXI4

I finally installed ESXI 4 on one of our servers and went o trough initial configuration stage (setting Management Network Card, etc). Then I use the browser to download VSphere client. After I install it and try to connect using Administrator and blank password, I am getting the following error message: Cannont complete login due to an incorrect user name and password. I haven't set up any passwords on the server yet.

I was also trying to connect using "Windows seccion credintials". When I do that, I am receiving the following error: The operation is not supported on the object.

Does anyone know what is going on an how to correct this sssue?

Go to ESXi server console, set password. It's not really good practice to use blank passwords.

And then connect with vSphere client as "root" with a password you set.

Another question is how can add license. Right now its shows that the software in evaluation mode.

Go to Configuration, Licensing, and then click Edit and type your licensenumber.
