  • 1.  Error accessing hardware status on hosts from vCenter

    I have a VM on one of my hosts, 64 bit Windows 2008 SP2, that has VMware vCenter Server installed on it. I connect to it to manage all my hosts. I changed the NETBIOS name of the Windows VM to comply with new naming convention standards on our network, and now I get the following issue when trying to access the hardware status page on my hosts. It works fine if I connect directly to the host, but doesn't work through vCenter anymore... Anyone know how to fix this? It has to have something to do with the name change because it worked fine before the change.

    I didn't do this myself yet, but maybe http://vr0x0r0man.blogspot.com/2010/08/rename-vcenter-41-server.html can help solve the issue.
