I am trying to copy a template from one vcenter server to another vcenter server.  These servers are on totally different networks and have no connection to each other.  So my workstation is essentially the man in the middle.  I was trying to SCP the template from vcenter1 to my local workstation and then will upload the template to vcenter2.  When I attempt to download any template from vcenter1 it aborts @ ~500MB.  I am using winscp with  Blowfish encyption in Binary transfer mode.  I have tried AES2 and automatic, and it too fails at the same point.

Any suggestions on how to get past this mark or some better way to do this.

    Thank you,

Try the free FastSCP from Veeam.

You should be able to just copy the template folder from one host to your workstation and the to the destination vCenter without issues.

Maybe it would be easier to use VMware Converter?  You're destination can still be your workstation.  Then when complete source will be your workstation and destintation will be the remote site.  I prefer to convert to an ESX(i) host rather than vCenter, it seems to go a bit faster.

...or you can simply use the datastore browser and "download a file from this datastore to your local machine"
