Probably a completely gumby question but I have never done it before and I wanted to make sure.

I have to remove 2 host from inventory as they are moving to a diffrent enviroment. They still have access to all the shared storage. Will this sotrage be affected if I remove them from inventory? Is there another step I should be taking to protect the other hosts and vms?

I have googled my guts out but I just cant seem to confirm anything.

    Thanks

You can do this without problem... and after remove the hosts from inventory, if they will not need access to shared storage anymore, remove the storage mapping for the hosts.

Before you remove make sure you don't have machines on them. Which I'm sure you will do. Then put the host into maintenance and then disconnect it. Once disconnected you can right click and remove it. This makes sure all the vCenter agents are removed and the host is clean and is ready to be added elsewhere.
