  • 1.  Disk Management displays free space 100 precent

    Posted Jan 30, 2012 12:43 PM

    Hi all,

Got a virtual (vmware) windows 2008 (x86) std. server with two virtual disks. One for the system, one for files. The purpose of the machine is file server.

When I look into windows explorer I notice that there is 132 GB available of the 600 GB. This is also correct.

When I open disk management I notice that the disk has 100 precent of free disk space. This is incorrect.

Anybody have seen this issue? Anyone knows what the issue might be. In disk management there shoud be another precentage instead of 100%. (for sure, since the disk has 468 GB of data on it.)

    thx in advance,

yours sincerly, Robin E. Turpijn Technical Specialist @ Pimarox, Nieuwegein NL.

we are still working on the issue. We now see two paths to follow:

1.) Check the MBR with Hirens.

2.) Create a new disk and use the robocopy /COPYALL.

    Keep you posted
