Difficulty remediating an esx host

I am in the process of remediating ESX hosts. (of which I have 10 in a cluster) Now on Blade 7, vmotion is failing for the remaining vms that require to move to another host. The task Status is being reported as " There are not enough licences installed to perform the operation." I have checked the configuration and licencing is reporting as normal. Any ideas?

I'm not sure if you have enough VMotion for 10 hosts, but are you VMotion it hot or cold while VM is down? If you have issue with VMotion, try delete the VM from inventory, and then browse to the datastore->VM folder-> and right click on .vmx file and "add to inventory" to the cluster you want to see if it work that could be a workaround but required your VM to be down. Try to re-read your .lic file and restart license services to see if it clears it out.

I would at least try restarting the license service. Although you probably already tried that.

Moved to vCenter Server forum.

VErify that you have enough Vmotion for the # of sockets involved. You may not.... You can do this by looking within the License Manager Tools.
