Trying to run Hyperic HQ server on a linux box.
First I had a "OutOfMemoryError: unable to create new native thread", but that was fixed by changing some memory and stack settings.
But now it starts up and the process dies before the startup is complete. It listens on port 7080 for a short while and then dies.
No signs of why in the log. The log ends with:
"[org.jboss.deployment.EARDeployer@142] Init J2EE application: file:/home/dth/server-4.1.1/hq-engine/server/default/deploy/hq.ear/".
Any help appreciated. Thanks,
-dennis

Too.. check your HQ version... if you are using 64bit version on 32bit platform, it doesn't work.
I'll suggest you: open a second console.. and run on it a top (or watch -n 1 free) and check your memory free and allocate during HQServer startup.
