    Posted Sep 13, 2010 05:56 AM

    Hello, I have a VM (version 4, not 7) with a Debian 5 under a ESX 4,

my problem is that the VM lost the ethenet connettion with the LAN when no

traffict are on the LAN .....

for example if I make a ping to the Virtual Machine .... I lost 3 or 4 pings after Debian 5 VM

ask and get up the ethernet ....

It is like the ethernet is in sleep mode before receive packets ....

    VM has Vmware tools installed

    What could be the problem?.

    Thanks a lot

Which OS you are using in Your VM........I think you shoud check Power management standby setting of your VM.

Also check you are getting this issue with all the VMs or the only one....Check and let me know

Then there is no problem in ESX so you should check standby power management setting in Linux's VM.
