Hi,
i have vSphere 5.1 environment. one of my datastore size is continuously increasing whereas all the VMs on that datastore are thick provisioned.
please suggest the possible cause.
thanks,
Deepak
Hi Deepak,
I suspect it could be snapshots on the storage causing the size Increase, Do an SSH into one the Host with the data store attached and see what is holding the space..?
If you have any snapshots on VM commit them.
Thanks,

Hi ,
there is no snapshot/snapshot file present on the host but still size is increasing.
can you run this command on the host and confirm..? if still no delta files then there could be some kind of logs that are getting written.
find /vmfs/volumes/ -iname "*delta.vmdk"
As an alternative to the command line you can use RVTools to find out about snapshots and virtual disk sizes.
