Hi All,
I'm downloading a .vmdk to my external hard drive. I have servername.domain, vmdk and servername.domain_1.vmdk. I'm planning to move this to another host in another network. WHich one should I download in order to import it to another host? I already copy .vmx file already. Pls. advise.

Download the entire folder to your VM or all the files in the directory of the virtual machine.
Then you import all files or directory, looking for the file. Vmx and right, add to inventory.
Luck!
you can use vmware Standalone Converter 5.0.

The files you mentioned refer to two separate virtual disks, which I assume you need both. Other than using the datastore browser to download files, I'd suggest you export/import (from the File menu) the complete VM using the OVF format. This will also take care of thin provisioned virtual disks (in case you use them). Downloading a thin provisioned virtual disk using the datastore browser will inflate its size to the full provisioned size!
