  • 1.  Converter massively overreports the size of hard drive.

    I have a windows 2000 server i am trying to import currently. (i've successfully imported other machines).

    VMware converter is reporting the size of the hard drive as 8336815756.05 GB, when in reality, it is a 80GB SATA raid. (with around 40gb used).

    It is the only drive in this system.

    The Converter has found scsiport.sys and appears happy.

    SATA controller is Intel 8201GR/GH.

    Has anyone come across this?

    Probably a quirk with the SATA controller/driver. Below is a similar problem...

    Yes, it seems it is a driver issue.

    I updated to the newest drivers, and now it is reporting the correct size.
