    Good afternoon,

I'm having lots of difficulties with an Asterisk machine on ESXi 5.0

Phone device has hard time connecting to the machine, SIP trunks registrations fails, only 1 SIP trunk at a time (when I'm trying to add another trunk none of them connecting).

Looks like there is some networking difficulties when running on ESXi (same exact system installed and configured 1:1 on a bare metal hardware and no issues).

Any suggestions what can cause that and how to diagnose the problem?

    Many thanks!

    More info:

    OS: CentOS 6

    VMware tools installed

No vt-d but pcie gigabit lan (from Intel) is dedicated to this VM only.

What network card are you using on the VM? Are the Asterisk logs showing anything useful? How many other VM's are running on the box? How is the overall ESXi host utilization?

You were right, the problem was a lack of resources.

I gave the VM more memory and another CPU core and so far so good.

    Thanks.
