  • 1.  Cisco PI VM is failing to boot: Unable to enumerate all disks.

    Posted May 10, 2023 07:43 AM

    Good day,

I am getting the below error message when trying to boot the VM. According to my knowledge, the VM was not moved or copied. It just happened that the VM stopped working one morning and it cannot boot. I have discovered that we are missing the "SRV_NAME.vmdk" file in the VM directory.

Is it possible to recreate the file without losing any data?

I have attached 2 files for more information.

I'm just looking at my Cisco Prime VM which is also on VMWare. The vmdk file you mention is disk one of the VM. On my installation it's 300Mb. It's the first disk of the VM, you'll not be able to recreate it. You'll need to restore from the backup you've hopefully taken. Good luck!
