  • 1.  Changes to the VMX file (network device type)

    Hi

    I have a VM with 4 nics, the E1000, I would like to change this to the vmnet3. I have had some issues with E1000 and tcp offloading !

    But I don't want to delete the NIC's and then recreate them... its a pain.

    Can i just stop the VM, edit the VMX, change the E1000 to vmnet3 and then restart

    yes that should work, but there is always special case that you may have to re ip the nic...
