Is it possible to use to create backup configuration file and use it as auto delpoy source to new host?

Lets assume that I have three servers with the same hardware configuration, I configure first host manually (IP, DNS, vswitch, scratch config etc) and make backup of it (

After that I restore backup to second host (of course I have to change IP adress and hostname before I connect it to LAN and vCenter). This should work?

Is it possible to edit backup configuration file (.tgz) created by For example to change IP address, DNS name, vMotion IP etc?

I don't believe this would work because the config bundle contains SSL's.

Believe it or not, the Ultimate Deployment Appliance (UDA) still works for vSphere 6 and can run a very advanced scripted install in place of Auto Deploy.
