  • 1.  Certificate Manager tool to create CSR and private key

    Trying to create CSR from vCenter and after choosing option 1 getting the following error:
    Certificate Manager tool do not support vCenter HA systems
    Please note: vCenter version 7.0.1 Build: 17327586

     

    Can anyone please help me to solve this issue

    obvious question: Do you have HA enabled on your vCenter?

    no, we don't have HA configured

     Can you try renaming the file /etc/vmware-vcha/vcha.cfg if its available, then retry cert manager tool

     Certificate Manager will not work if vCenter Server is in High Availability mode (VCHA). If yes, you will have to follow below approach :

    Break VCHA -> Replace Certificates -> Reconfigure VCHA again

    If VCHA is not at all configured, more investigation needed to identify the actual cause. Please check the availability of file /etc/vmware-vcha/vcha.cfg, renaming it might help to proceed further (Please DO NOT perform the same if VCHA is already configured)
