Cannot find hard disk

The server cannot find hard disk during Windows isntallation detecting the hard disk.

Is this on a guest VM that you are creating? If so what kind of OS are you attempting to install?

Installing Windows XP Pro SP2

Boot to your XP cdrom into the setup mode, once there go into your VM settings and set your floppy to use existing floppy image in datastore and browse to the following path [] /vmimages/floppies/ and select the vmscsi-1.2.0.2.flp. When your XP setup screen gets to the point where you are allowed to specify additional drivers for the controller you can hit F6 and it should allow you to select a driver for the controller.

It's been awhile since I did that but I think I got all the steps.

I selected the vmscsi-1.2.0.2.flp from VM settings, but the virtual machine load this image when booting .... so I can't get into Windows installation blue screen .

Don't have the floppy set to connect at power on. Boot into the cd-rom and then connect your floppy once you have entered the setup screen or change your boot options to cd-rom instead of the floppy.

I also tried this method, when it promote insert driver floppy disk and then press enter that was no respond ....

What kind of controller do you have setup for the VM? The flp only includes the drivers for the buslogic so if you are using the LSI then you will have to follow the procedure outlined at the link below.

I can install Windows 2003 server .

The drivers come built into most of the OS setups but were not included in XP which is why you have to specify them.

Is there have others way to install virtual machine ? I think a lot of people can install VM from VC .
