  • 1.  Cannot alter CPU or RAM

    So I would like to add more RAM to a VM, I shut the VM down so it is not powered on.  I then go to alter the settings for the RAM.

    When I save the changed I get- Failed - Unable to access file [VMStorageDP12] Servername/IPaddress_Disk0.vmdk

    I am not sure what is happening here or how to fix this, any help would be appreciated.

    Hello! Do you have access to that VMDK? Try detaching the disk from the VM, changing the RAM and attaching it again. Also, check if disks consolidation is needed in the VM.
