    I see 2 features:

    Basic L7 Application Identification Rules

    and

    Advanced L7 Application Identification Rules

     

    Wich is the main difference?

    Like the name suggests, Advanced L7 application Identification rules allows use of Advance App ID for Layer 7 inspection. You can refer below links for Basic App ID and Advance App ID -

    You will see that Basic L7 Application Identification Rules and Advanced L7 Application Identification Rules are supported in different editions.
