after double checking and triple checking that everything is configured correctly on the network settings. it still doesnt work
I resolved it by uninstalling 17.6.3 and reinstalling 17.6.1 and it works properly now.
i have zScaler on my host machine, so maybe something in zscaler doesnt work well with the new 17.6.3 update? I dont know
but i am back on 17.6.1 and everything is back to normal
thanks for your help

Not sure what those pictures are, but:
- check from the Host if there is NAT networking
- check if you guest is in the same networking range. If not, use a fixed address (for starters) outside DHCP range. Then it works.
- if there is no NAT networking on the Host, create one
Use Virtual Network Editor for the tasks mentioned above.
Perhaps you just didn't get a proper address from the VMware DHCP server on the Host. Or perhaps your networking didn't get installed on the Host.
You can also uninstall the current version (I hope the uninstall works - there are instructions in this Forum how to uninstall manually) and install 17.5.2 version. That could cure the problem, if not, there is something wrong on your Host not allowing you to create new networks ... then the manual attempts might fail also - if so, contact your IT support, if any, and explain why you need new networks.
