  • 1.  Problem with DVD drive and Fusion 2

    I have a Mac Pro with OSX 10.5.8 and Fusion 2.0.6

    There is a problem with the DVD drive. When Fusion is running I can't Open/Close the DVD drive through OSX, it only works through Fusion and Windows. If I shut down Fusion then it works through OSX.

    Any ideas?

    Just disconnect the CD/DVD from the Virtual Machine when not in use by the Virtual Machine.

    Have a look at: VMware Fusion (menu bar) > Help > VMware Fusion Help > Managing Virtual Machines > Configuring the CD/DVD Drive > Connecting and Disconnecting the CD/DVD Drive Without Using the Settings Window

    Hint: Click the CD/DVD device button in the status bar and select Disconnect CD/DVD and then when needed select Connect CD/DVD.
