Hi, after cloning a vm i have the same issue. If i check the datastore i can notice that the vm have 2 vmdk file:

    vmname-000001.vmdk
    vmname.vmdk

The first one takes up 1.4 GB, the second one takes up 500Gb that is the space that i give to that machine when i created it.

In the snapshot tree i can see:
    vmname
    - memory snapshot (created in 2017 with disk usage of 504 GB)
       - You are here (1,42GB)

    What i need to do?

Edit: i added the vm log file

    Attachment(s)

    log
    vmware.log   229 KB 1 version

It depends on what exactly you did, e.g. whether it is a full, or linked clone.

To find out available options, please attach the VM's current vmware.log to your next reply, and let me know how much free disk space you have on the datastore.

From what I understand, you should be able to simply delete the snapshot from the Snapshot Manager.
I'd suggest that you hit the "Delete All" button in the Snapshot Manager.

I'll make a copy of the vm and then i'll delete all the snapshot.
