Latest Fusion under Mojave with Windows 7 VM.  I had been using a printer connected via Ethernet which worked fine until I had to disconnect the printer to relocate it. Upon reconnecting it, I can no longer send jobs to it,

In Fusion settings under Networking, in the table, Ethernet shows as partially available. What can I do to remedy this? Thanks.

    Hi AlienApple,

In Fusion 11, you need to install the 'Virtual Printer' manually to use network printer inside the VM.

Power on you VM, make sure you have installed VMware Tools, then click menu 'Virtual Machine=>Install Virtual Printer', you may need to reboot the VM after installation is done.

    Hope it helps.

    No luck yet with this.

Running latest VMware Tools on a Windows 7 VM. 'Install Virtual Printer' is not greyed out but selecting it does not yield any discernible results and I do not see the printer in Windows. It is shared and it functions under macOS.

    What else can I check?

Can you print to it from the host?  How about pinging the IP address from the host and guest?

You should be able to create a new printer inside the guest, using guest drivers, and print directly to it via the network.  No need to run through the virtualized environment at all.

No worries, I need better eyes and smaller fingers on some of those printers myself!
