I surprisingly can't find anything about official support/unsupported compatibility.  .Since Ventura has been officially released, does VMWare Fusion 12 work on it?

It may work, but isn't supported.  You'll want the tech preview for that, or if rumors are right, we'll have Fusion 13 in a couple of weeks.

Thanks for the heads-up question and answer!  I was just thinking of running the OS update.  I'll be patient.

It does on Intel.  I was able to bridge Wi-Fi today with Windows guests which does not often work.  I do get a background services warning every time I start Fusion and that has been explained as an API change of some kind.  On M1 I am using the latest tech preview.  You did not say what type of Mac - Intel or M1?

I'm on Intel.  It's not even working on an M1 yet is it?  Officially anyway.

The tech preview works on Ventura on the M1, quite well actually.

I bit the bullet.  It works fine.

I'm on Ventura 13.0 and using VM Fusion 12.2.4. Sharing of printer and internet does not work. I have sharing settings on both operating systems.  Apple Care won't supply a 3rd party program.support

Can you be a bit more specific on the configuration you have attempted and what does not work?

Are you saying that your virtual machine does not have a network connection? MacOS network sharing settings have no effect on this. Only the virtual network settings in the VM will say whether the virtual machine has a NAT or bridged network settings.

Shared printer settings are a bit more tricky. If your printer is a reasonably current wireless printer, a bridged network configuration should allow the guest to see the printer without resorting to printer sharing on the Mac. Other configurations may need for you to follow the instructions in the Fusion 12 documentation https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-Fusion/12/com.vmware.fusion.using.doc/GUID-31A9261D-A8AB-490D-99E1-EA336EE189D0.html

And no, Apple Care won’t have any knowledge of how to configure a third partynvirtualization product like Fusion for virtual networking or printer sharing.
