USB CDC and UVC in vmware Fusion 8

    I have a device that supports USB CDC (serial connection) and UVC (USB web cam video).

    I want to setup a development environment for that device, but I can not make that device available to the guest. Because Fusion is so smart to detect USB UVC as a Camera and makes it then available as a camera to the guest. But the USB device itself is not list among those other USB devices. Basically, Fusion tries to be smart while detecting the USB device. But I want Fusion to be dump and simply forward the complete USB device.

    How can I have Fusion to be dump to just simply forward the USB device and not try to detect the type of the USB device?

    Is there some trick?

    Host: Mac OS X 10.11.3

    Guest: Ubuntu Linux 14.04 LTS

    USB Device: HDMI2USB.tv
