What are the Microsoft licensing issues with running multiple XP virtual machines?

I have a full retail version of XP. Do I need a seperate retail version of XP for each VM on the same Mac?

Yes, each copy of Windows XP requires its own license. Microsoft has special licensing programs (and pricing) for academic institutions and businesses who buy at least five (5) copies of Windows. Otherwise the only other way to "share" the same copy of XP amongst multiple users is to share the Boot Camp partition. You are also able to place your VM in a shared area like /Users/Shared and attempt to use it from there. The permissions or setup can be tricky so let me know which way you want to try this.
