    Hello,

    I'm fairly new with VMWare. Some time last week, VMWare Fusion 3.1.4 stopped working properly. The operating system it is running is Windows Server 2008 R2.

    Even though it is connected to a network and can send/recieve information, it claims that it is not connected to a network.

    Various applications refuse to start up or run(Visual Studios, Control Panel, Internet Explorer). There is no real connection to why certain ones run and others don't, as far as I can tell. I can run regedit and command prompt just fine, for example.

    VMWare Tools also refuses to start up or install; which is odd because it was working before all of this.

    Also; starting up and logging in/out is just fine, but when I go to shut down it can take upwards of half an hour.

    Has anyone else had this issue? I suspect that the issue lies with VMWare Tools not cooperating, but all the guides I have followed so far on installing VMWare Tools have not worked. Ideas?
