  • 1.  USB Printer Problem With Fusion and Brother HL-5140

I just got VMWare Fusion and I tried to print something (because I thought it auto-synched with your printer), but when I pressed print I found out the printer was nowhere to be found. Then I saw that little USB Icon on the bottom for the printer and I connected the printer. Then I tried it again but it still did not work. So I installed the drivers and now when I go under the control panel I see an actual picture of the brother printer like the drivers are installed and it says ready. So I pressed print thinking it would work and it didn't. Then I checked the connection settings and it said it was connected to port LTTP1 port. So I am wondering is it because it is not in the correct port? I can send a document to the printer but it fails to print. Is there a port I have to create. Thanks for the help in advance

Try changing the port to USB instead of the LPT1.

How do I do that? I have ports LPT1, LPT2, LPT3, COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4, and FILE. Is one of those ports a USB port or do I have to create a new one?
