Dell R730 intel X520 NIC - Setting to 10000Mbs does not work. V8.

Hi Guys,

 

We have a R730 with an intel x520 NIC - As described above, VMWARE V8 picks up that the SFP's are 10000Mbs capable... Setting them to AutoNegotiate or 10000mbs causes them to disconnect.. setting them to 1000Mbs they work fine.

We are using the appropriate cabling, and Unifi Aggrigation switch (Fiber). 

 

Not sure how to resolve this.

is it possible a compatible problem? 

If I remember the R730 server and intel X520 nic are not compatible with vpshere 8
