HA with ARM ESX and vCenter version 8.0.2.00000 Build 22385739

Hello,

I have a cluster of 4 ESX servers running on Raspberry Pi 4's. The Raspberry Pi's have been upgraded to the latest 

ESXi on Arm Fling (Build 22949429), which is version 1.15

According to the documentation for the version 1.13 build I should be able to run these 4 ESX servers using HA with vCenter version 8 when using an FDM vib that is the same version as the vCenter 8 server.

 

My vCenter 8 server is running 8.0.2.00000 Build 22385739 but the newest version of the FDM vibs that I can find are vmware-fdm-8.0.1-21815093.arm64.vib

 

The vCenter Server download that I am using is from the VMUG program and it appears to be the only version of vCenter 8 that is available for download.

 

I have the HA working with the ARM ESX server when using an older version of vCenter but you were stuck at a specific version that was prior to the auto deployment of the x86 FDM. I'd like to get the HA working again using vCenter 8.

 

Does anyone know if there is a matching ARM vib for the vCenter version that I am running?

Updating my own post.

I also posted to another channel about this issue. I have received a response from that source. The response is posted below:

 

"The FDM version MUST match the version of vCenter Server or it will not work. I can confirm we currently don’t have FDM VIB for vSphere 8.0 Update 2 and Update 2a, I’ll share this w/Engr team and hopefully make them available in the future."

 

Hopefully we will see some updated vib's for newer versions of vCenter soon.

That's awesome / glad to know ... given who the source was ... I would expect that he would be

The most current ones are more than six months old now. vibs are dated Release Date: 2023-06-14 and the ESX ARM filing is dated Release Date: 2023-12-15.

Would be nice if the vibs were updated at the same time (looks like vCenter v8 update 2 was released mid October 2023, so well before the latest ESX ARM release.

So how about some updated vib files please VMware / Thank you very much, they will be much appreciated!

Curious, anyone from VMware out there monitoring these posts?

Would really like to see the HA VIBS updated to the vCenter version listed above so that I can connect my Raspberry Pi ESX cluster up to vCenter. the last posted VIBS are heading on 9 months old now and the newest ARM ESX is about 6 months newer than that.

Updating the VIBS would be greatly appreciated.
