Looking at the attached CA Plex Compatibility Matrix, it is stated that Windows 10 is not certifying Visual Studio 2013.

    REFERENCE:
    3
As per Microsoft compatibility matrix, Windows 10 is not certified Operating System for Visual Studio 2013.CA Plex is certified with Windows 10 with Visual Studio 2013 Professional (Update 5). Following internal testing in CA QA labs, there were no installation issues with Visual Studio 2013 Professional (Update 5) and Plex QA regression suite was successful.

Our customers are worried about developing Plex r7.2.1 on Windows 10 by looking at this.
In addition they have doubts why if Plex r7.2.1 certifies Windows 10, why did not adopt Visual Studio 2015 as a C ++ compiler.

They say that they can not purchase Visual Studio 2013 unless there is a certain reason to adopt Visual Studio 2013 for the C ++ compiler of Plex r 7.2.1, and they can not start development with Plex r 7.2.1.

Can anyone tell me why Visual Studio 2015 was not adopted as a C ++ compiler in Plex r7.2.1 and why Visual Studio 2013 was adopted?
Is it related from Visual studio 2015 that the .NET compiler has changed to Roslyn?

Regarding Visual Studio 2013 adoption - the priority was to go with Visual Studio 2015, but due to few technical challenges while porting/migrating to Visual Studio 2015 - shifted to Visual Studio 2013. There are many compiler changes has been introduced with Visual Studio 2015 like C++ 11/14/17 etc.

With this, we didn’t find any problem so far with Windows 10/Visual studio 2013 combination and there are MSDN & other forum posts where people are successfully running this combination without the problem.

In release verification in our labs - there were no installation issues with Visual Studio 2013 Professional (Update 5) on Windows 10 and CA Plex QA regression suite was successful.

    Hi Vijay,

    Thank you for your comment.

Our customer understood when we explained the information you taught to them.

By the way, are you planning to shift C ++ compiler to Visual Studio 2015 in the next Plex development?
It corresponds to 64bit by C++ construction...

If you have a Plex roadmap please provide it to us.
About the future of Plex Japanese customers are very interested.
