Severe Latency Bottleneck issue on ISL connections:

“Severe latency bottleneck detected at slot 0, port 22”

“Severe latency bottleneck detected at slot 0, port 23”

This is showing up on our Principal switch (these are the two ISLs from a subordinate switch).  When I checked the Principal switch I see very few errors. I see a lot of errors on the subordinate switch.  From my own research I think I have SFPs going bad (or it could just be buffer credits).  Since I know we're not pushing a enough data to overload the switch (its under 20% utilized) then I have to assume these are two SFPs going bad.  How can I be sure it's the SFPs and not just buffer credits?
