Re: Upgrading BNA from 11.1.0 to 12.0.0

Thanks Felipon,

I installed BNA 12.0.0 in Red Hat Linux server and discover all the switches in my Network and, everything seems fine. When I tried to access yesterday. It took forever to get access on BNA web to get the client.

I am not sure what was making the problem and, I tried to access the server and everything was fine. Then I run 'smc' inside /bin. It took forever to verify the service status . Then I reboot the service and after that everything seems normal!

But the same thing happen today. Do you have idea, what might be the reason?

Thanks,

Re: Upgrading BNA from 11.1.0 to 12.0.0

Hi,

I do not know why that could happen. I have seen similar behaviors related to a lack of memory in the server, since BNA needs a lot of memory to run. On the other hand, in the log folder, some of the logs files may report what could be going on with the application.

Re: Upgrading BNA from 11.1.0 to 12.0.0

What is the requirement ( CPU and Memory) to run BNA 12.0.0 smoothly?

Thanks

Re: Upgrading BNA from 11.1.0 to 12.0.0

Thanks,

I upgrade my server memory from 4 GB to 8 GB and still get the same problem. (BNA start responding too slow) after 5 or 6 hours. When I see the log file, monitor.log- It gives an error, Memory uses more thatn configured threshold!

I increase the HEAP_SIZE in /opt/Network_Advisor12_0_2/conf/dcmsvc.conf. It works fast, and started consuming whole 8 GB of memory. I created 4 GB og swap file to extend the memory, but still after 5 or 6 hour, same problem.

In monitor.log- same error message,

Total memory usage 98.86% is more than configured threshold 90.00%

Help.!!
