Re: FCIP MIB

We managed to load the MIBs the way you suggest and got the OID to .1.3.6.1.4.1.1588.4

However when we try the collection, we are still getting "No instance will be collected"

When I browse to the SNMPWALK. I could not find any .1.3.6.1.4.1.1588.4 inside the SNMPWALK as well. I think the problem is not related to the MIBs we loaded. It's the Brocade 7500E.

Attached is the SNMPWALK. If you open it as Notepad and search .1.3.6.1.4.1.1588.4, you will not be able to find anything.

The fablic OS level in the 7500E is 6.2e.

Any ideas how we can load the 7500E with the .1.3.6.1.4.1.1588.4 entries?

Re: FCIP MIB

Bill,

the MIB's are correct. That show to me this is a problem with OV.

I would open a Call by HP OV Team to Investigate the problem.

Re: FCIP MIB

Enable the FCIP MIB's on the 7500 with this command.

snmpmibcapset

Try to run the snmpwalk once again and check if you get values for the required OID's.

I would appreciate if you mark certain answers as helpful since both ABBA-SYSTEMS and me have been trying to help you for sometime now. Its totally upto you though, no compulsions.

Re: FCIP MIB

Thanks. I used snmpconfig command to turn on the FCIP-MIB. See below. We will run another SNMPWALK to validate if the FCIP MIB setting show up in the WALK output.

Will keep you posted.

Re: FCIP MIB

Thanks everyone's help to resolve my FCIP MIB challenge. I finally managed to collect data after I turn on the FCIP-MIB using the SNMPCONFIG --SET MIBCAPABILITY line command on the 7500E.
