Currently at DCFM 10.4.5 enterprise
unable to discover Mcdata switches (M6140) and run at MEOS 9.6.2 . Discovery error window shows a message "the managed product has reached its limit of management session"
I have checked that we can managed these switches thru SSH, so actually the management session isn't full
i have read another problem at http://community.brocade.com/thread/4028?start=0&tstart=0 ,
should I take a look at CIMOM? (can anyone explain step by step),
and how can I restart DCFM service (Is it just close the DCFM main window?)
Thanks

Actually, this is the 1st time we want to add mcData switches to DFCM..
The current Pure MCData fabric (contains several MCData switches, M6140) at MEOS v9.6.2
I have tried installing another DCFM at my computer, then i tried to discovered it, but the same error message appear..
And I experienced to discovered another MCData fabric (contain 1 MCData fabric and 1 MCdata switces) then it can be discovered through DCFM (the MCDATA switch can be discovered, but the MCData director cant be discovered coz unreachable).
should I upgrade the MCData fabric to v9.9.2??

DCFM support 9.6.2 as well, i don't think upgrade solve that problem.

how many port have the current fabric ?
another problem can be caused by some security Features integrated in EOS.
as fair as i remember, EOS Based Directors - 6064 and 6140 - have a security features which can be enable / disable when user add a new switch in the Fabric to avoid any config mismatch.
I'll try to find some other info about this features and post here.

AFAIK, DCFM would support MCData at 9.6.2 if MCData switch is connected to FOS-based product.. I have read M-EOS release note v.9.9.2, it says that this version add new feature that MCData switch now can be discovered without need of FOS-based product.. Is it true? bcoz i dont know if anyone has successfully discovered MCData switch at v9.6.2 through DCFM
--> security
I will check the security feature at this fabric..
