scalse app performance by up to 4x

The digital economy is driving unprecedented change in today’s IT. High performance flash storage arrays, coupled with hyperscale server virtualization, are straining the data center infrastructure in ways not anticipated even just a few years ago. So how do you make sure your critical applications can keep up and deliver the results your business expects?

It’s actually much simpler than you think.

Legacy networks have been fighting a losing battle

In a new Gartner1 report, “The Future of Storage Protocols”, analysts reveal that “by upgrading the storage network, IT leaders can reduce costs. Upgrading consolidates the number of network switches, cables, and host-based adaptors or network interface cards.”

Removing storage traffic bottlenecks

Upgrading the network has obvious advantages in consolidation and cost reduction. But it’s the impact on business applications that savvy business leaders should be most interested in.

In the report, Gartner illustrates that “IT leaders can scale their services and double or quadruple the number of transactions and/or application performance by upgrading their storage network together with the latest solid-state storage.”

It’s no wonder then that Gartner reports that “storage networking investments are becoming a critical top priority”. And their recommendation? “IT leaders… must revisit and review their budget plans for storage networking infrastructure and ensure their ability to meet increasingly performance-sensitive service levels.”

So what are you waiting for?
